Faking Higher Levels

The concept I refer to as “Speech Mask” enables people to adopt the communication styles of higher levels, allowing them to present themselves as more advanced than they truly are. This behavior is prevalent due to our innate social nature; we tend to subconsciously mimic the behaviors and speech patterns of those around us in our social circles. This isn’t always a conscious realization; people can deceive themselves into believing they occupy a higher level simply by articulating the values associated with that level.

Alternatively, people may adopt the façade of a higher level and fake the projection that they are at that level by strategically immersing themselves in environments that embody particular social dynamics. For example, people at level 4 are often drawn to spiritual or religious communities, which provide a platform for discussing ethical and moral values. In stark contrast, people at levels 3 and -2 may also pursue positions of authority within these types of settings.

A notable case involves a man who was perceived as a deeply religious leader in his community, known for teaching sacred scriptures and embodying the values of the community. However, he was later arrested for committing egregious acts against children in his congregation. While he presented himself as a level 4, he actually operated at a level -2.

Although, Level 3 people are often moved by spontaneously impulsive actions and are not often conscious of what they are doing or why. However, a common pattern of “blending in” can be observed among them, driven by their desire for power and the automatic trust that those roles within the community afford them.
